General information: The purpose of the Cyber Security Competition is to facilitate an exploration of science and technology through research and interactive learning. The importance of understanding different careers in Cyber Security in our daily lives allows participants to gain a global knowledge of the industry and having students in the pipeline. We believe this project will significantly impact the community by bringing attention to the community's environment and help students to look at careers in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields.
Program: The program will require 10 students, a teacher and mentor coach from the government, industry or academic sector to form 8 participating schools.
Schools: The 2011-2012 competition will be among eight schools.

Keynote Speaker
The Patriots’ Cyber Security Competition will consist of a panel of professionals that will judge the students’ papers and projects at the dinner with community residents, parents and elected officials on February 22, 2012 at the Greenbelt Marriott, Greenbelt, MD. A winner of this competition will be selected at this event. This project, thus, builds research and business skills as well as technology skills.
Prizes: Each member of the winning teams will receive: 1st Place - $100, 2nd Place - $50, and 3rd Place - $25.
Business and government support: This project will significantly impact the community by bringing government, industry and academia to support our students to seek a career in STEM.
