Cyber Security Competition Award's Dinner

General Information: The purpose of the Cyber Security Competition is to facilitate an exploration of science and technology through research and interactive learning. The importance of understanding different careers in Cyber Security is to gain a global knowledge of the vital role of its s future needs for our continued survival. We believe this project will significantly impact the intelligence of our community by educating students about the importance of protecting their computer network.
Program: The program will require 5 students per team. A team mentor will be assigned to each team to assist students with their projects and answer emails regarding the career of their choice. The project will include a four-page research paper, a brochure, a poster board display, an oral presentation, networking, and a functional website. At the end of the competition, the winning team will be announced.
Training Workshops: Workshops are held on Saturdays from January through April 2018. All meeting are held from 10am - 12pm at Prince George's Community College in Largo, Maryland 20774.
Schools: 2017-2018 competitions are among eight Prince George's County Middle and High Schools - so get your team together.
The Cyber Security Competition will consist of a panel of professionals who will judge the student's projects based on predetermined criteria which will be distributed to the student teams prior to the submission of their research.
