General Information: The Girl Scouts STEM Carnival provides the participants the opportunity to attend STEM workshops/exhibits. Each students will have up to 30 minutes to visit each of the exhibits. The purpose of the STEM Carnival is to expose girls to different types of STEM careers with hands on activities, and workshops/exhibits with STEM professionals. Each girl will receive a Patriots STEM Carnival Patch at the Carnival. Then, Patriots will take a survey on the different careers the girls would like to have, and after the STEM Carnival we will host workshops that will align with Girl Scouts badge requirement, and invite the girls to attend.
Program: This program will expose students to the different types of STEM careers that they may want to major in.

Attendees: All girls 2nd - 12th grades are welcome.
Awards Program: All attendees will earn a STEM Carnival patch.
Business and Government Support: Several professionals from the Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) industry will be recruited to assist as instructors, mentors, and technical advisors. This project will significantly impact the community by exposing girls to STEM awareness and a road map on how to obtain a STEM career. Current supporters include Raytheon, U.S. Patent and Trademark, Black Data Processing Association (BDPA), Customer Engineering Services, U.S. Naval Academy and Bowie State University NSBE Collegiate Chapters, Civil Air Patrol, and Nothing But STEM.
