Lego Robotics Competition

General Information:  No matter what your student's interest Lego Robotics offers an opportunity for engagement.  Whether it is by creativity, technology, or research, LEGO Robotics dares kids to test, explore, expand or completely change thoughts and approaches for different sciences. This competition is an exciting and fun challenge for the students to build, test, and program an autonomous robot using LEGO Robotics.

Program Objectives:Participants will implement, understand and know the following - 

  • How to collaborate in groups and teams
  • How to design, build and program a robot using LEGO Robotics Windstorm Technology
  • Basic and intermediate concepts to programming using Virtual Brick for Lego Mindstrom
  • Engineering Practices
  • Research and solve a real-world problem
  • Prepare their research and solutions for competition
  • Compete in Patriots/Bowie State University Robotics Competition


Training Workshops: Are held on Saturdays at Prince George's College on the following dates -   November 3, 10; December 8; January 5, 12.


Fees:Six-month license and t-shirt: $25 per student
You must be an active member of the Patriots-Tech Science Club.
