MINI ONE-DAY TRANSPORTATION SUMMIT CAREERS COMPETITION
BOWIE STATE UNIVERSITY
The Mini One-Day Transportation Summit will be an in-person event on November 6, 2021 which will consist of 20 workshops/exhibits showcasing the transportation industry. We understand that students like to fix, break, develop and compete in competitions; that is why this summit will be one that students will not remember for years to come.
We are recruiting STEM professionals and mentors that will come to your school to prepare your teams for the competitions. The workshops/competitions will enlighten the students on the many careers that surround the transportation industry. You can be an engineer building a rail system, pilot to fly an airplane, or an architect designing a ship. Students have an opportunity to win prizes after each one of the workshops. The prizes will be an E-Cash Gift Card: 1st Place – $50; 2nd Place – $25, 3rd Place -$10.
The competitions are as follows with four students on a team:
- Land (Rail) – Rail Design Competition
- Air (Airplanes) – Airport Madness Competition
- Sea (Shipping) – Shipbuilding Rescue Competition
Prizes for the Competition – each member of the team will receive the following:
1st Place: $50 2nd Place: $25 3rd Place: $10
