“Sharpen your ability to read. Strive to learn how and why things work. Learn to listen and ask a lot of questions. Overall, learn how to communicate with those you work with; working as a team is a big part of Cyber Security.”

John T. Riley is a Cybersecurity Architect/Engineer with over twenty years of experience working in the Department of Defense contracts ranging from aerospace to space.  John currently works for General Dynamic Mission Systems and specializes in providing system security engineering and cloud security analysis to government Space programs.

John has a wide range of experience from early work in multi-level security systems and years of support on both Windows and Linux platforms as well as networking experience to include wireless technologies.  Starting out on the F-22 program and then migrating to F-35 and Missile Defense project, John has worked hard to help secure our military systems/projects and continues to support Space projects with a positive security attitude and ability to research and adapt as the technologies have transformed throughout the years.  In his free time, John spends time with his wife volunteering in the Catholic Church and has two (semi) adult children, a son in the Navy, and a daughter in college.

In his spare time, John likes to read, play video games, and cook.
